Loaders have two kinds of transmission, split transmission is also called fixed shaft transmission. The torque converter is separate from the gearbox and connected by a drive shaft. Fixed-axis transmission is compared with planetary transmission. Fixed-axis transmission is more like manual transmission, which transmits power through gear meshing, but there is a multi-plate shifting clutch on the shaft, which can realize shifting through clutch compression. The transmission oil distribution route is changed by changing the position of the valve stem during the shift of the fixed-shaft gearbox, and the clutch of different gears is finally controlled to achieve shift, forward and backward. The shift mode is mostly realized by manual mechanical operation of shift valve stem position. Fixed-shaft transmission has the advantages of simple principle, long service life and low maintenance cost. The transmission ratio is wider, so the torque is large enough and the traction is sufficient at low speed. Integral transmission is also called planetary transmission. This gearbox is the most common gearbox, most forklift trucks are equipped with a planetary gearbox. The transmission structure is similar to the car's AT transmission, using planetary gear mechanism. The structure is more complex than the fixed shaft gearbox, more than the overrunning clutch, the cost increases, the maintenance is difficult, the transmission efficiency is low. But the advantages are more, the first is more simple operation, good comfort. With the power shift function, forward two gears, backward one gear can automatically adjust the speed according to the load (automatic transmission), work efficiency greatly improved. When the load increases and the resistance increases, the speed can be rapidly reduced to increase the torque. When the load decreases, the speed can be rapidly increased, so the loading and transporting speed is faster.
