Skid loader also called sliding loader, multifunctional truck, multi-function engineering machine, is a kind of using on both sides of the wheel linear velocity difference and realization of vehicle steering wheel special chassis equipment, USES the wheel travel mechanism, all-wheel drive, slip, can be on the job site random rapid replacement or articulated a variety of work device, so as to adapt to different work environment and job content. The birth of the skid steering loader has an interesting story:
In 1957, Turkey farmer Eddie Wall-e went to the blacksmith shop of brothers Ceryl and Louis Keller in Rory,Minnesota for help. For he could not use his motorized loader between the poles erected in the barn. So the Keller brothers agreed to help Wall · E build a lightweight, motorized propulsion loader that could move up to the second floor of the barn and clean the space around the pole. They went to the waste station to find materials and ideas, and finally pieced together a three-wheel loader with two driving wheels in the front and a small wheel foot in the back. The new loader had a six-horsepower magnetic core to start the engine and was driven independently from the left and right sides. The teeth for the front loading fork were made from window frames from the nearby Josay prison, the only steel the Keller brothers could find that was hard enough.
