Generally speaking, the service life of forklift tyres in normal is four to five years, because the rubber on the tread will aged over time. After five years, even if the tread wear is minimal, it should be replaced. Many tiny cracks are the cause of tyre blowouts. And with the use of daily work, the working performance of forklift tyres will decrease. At this time, it is necessary to replace the forklift tyres to avoid the occurrence of forklift tire blowout. So how to replace the forklift tyres ?
1. Parked the forklift on a flat and hard road, turn off the power and keep the forklift in an unloaded state.
2. Lower the forks of the forklift to the ground and stop the wheels with the parking brake. For example, if the drive tyre is replaced, support the jack on the front side of the frame. For example, if you replaced the steer tyre, support the jack in the middle of the rear axle rear bracket.
3. Gently jack up the forklift so that the tyres are still in contact with the ground; first loosen the bolts that fix the inflation tube, remove the clamps and then loosen the wheel nuts.
4. Fully lift the forklift with a jack, unscrew the wheel nuts and remove the tyres.
5. The installation sequence is opposite to the removal sequence. When installing the hub nut, the tightening torque must reach the specified value.
