The steps to replace a solid forklift tire are as follows: ‌

1.Preparation: ‌

l Park the forklift on a flat, hard surface and turn off the engine. ‌

l Remove the load from the forklift, lower the forks to the ground, and apply the parking brake to stop the wheels. ‌

l Use the jack to lift the forklift, lift the tire slightly off the ground, and place blocks under the front side of the forklift frame to prevent it from falling.

2.Removing the old tire: ‌

l Use a lug nut wrench or other tool to loosen the lug nuts, and be careful to do it in a diagonal order to avoid deformation of the tire or wheel hub. ‌

l Lift the forklift a little more, until the tire is slightly off the ground, then remove the lug nuts and remove the front wheel assembly. ‌

l Place the hub of the front wheel assembly on a flat, hard road surface, use a tool to press down the tire, remove the two half-piece circlips and retaining rings, and then remove the tire.

3.Install new tires: ‌

l Install the new tires onto the wheel hub, and pay attention to the direction of the tire. ‌

l Press down the tire, place the retaining ring, and then insert the retaining ring. ‌

l Install the wheel nuts, first tighten them one by one by hand, and then use a wheel nut wrench or other tools to pre-tighten the wheel nuts diagonally, with a pre-tightening torque of 20-30Nm (2-3.5kgfm).

4.Complete the installation: ‌

l Remove the spacers from under the frame, lower the forklift and tighten the hub nuts diagonally to the specified tightening torque (‌157-245Nm). ‌

l Perform a test run, check if the hub nuts are loose, and tighten if necessary.
